With You in Mind
At the start of the pandemic, I asked friends on social media to share with me in one to five words describing their time in quarantine. Their answers ranged from disorientation and anxiety to contentment and hope. I asked this question while I struggled to find the motivation to create due to the sudden loss of the studio space I was accustomed to. “With You in Mind” is both a consideration of the responses shared with me and the process of working through my doubt and creative insecurities. Times like these can feel isolating. I want these photographs to illustrate that I am carrying these burdens alongside them even while I carry my own.
Each of these photographs are titled after the responses shared with me.
